so for years i've been feeding my discus frozen foods and discus color bits...

but i recently read somewhere that frozen foods have more than 90% water in them so not only are they not very nutritious, but also a rip off of your money!

does any one have suggestions for food? i know that live worms are parasite-carriers, but if they are treated, would bloodworms/blackworms be a healthy option?

I just bought some amazing discus from a local breeder and he told me discus breeders use Tetra COLOR Granules. Thats all he uses. I ordered some, but so far our discus have been eati g NLS flakes, cichlid pellets, shrimp pellets an frozen brine.

Yeah very low nutrition on the frozen blood worms. Black worms on the other hand are very nutritious. I will not get into the whole worm/parasite debate, BUT the vendor here on MFK that sales black worms also sells frozen black worms which "guarantee" free of parasite/bacteria.
