Best food for fire eels to put on weight.

I just joined this site because I have some fire eels n I was wondering what's the best food for them to put on weight? I feed mine bloodworm n other frozen food, earthworms and high protein pellets! But my 2 biggest 1s ( 10 inch or so) don't seem to be bulking up? I feed them pellets every day, frozen every other day and earthworms prob twice a week that I get from my own garden! I don't use pesticides in my garden because of my kids n dog n I wash them b4 I put them in. Cheers.

The diet you are feeding them sounds like it should bulk them up quite well???

What size tank are they in and what type of filtration are you running???

At 10" they should be able to easily handle Canadian Nightcrawlers - check your local baitshop (or Wal-Mart). Under 6" I would use Red Wigglers.
