To be honest, I don't think there is such thing as the 'best' food for FH. I think that if you have a prefrence for a certain brand and your FH likes it, then stick with it! I personally use Grand Sumo and Hikari Bio-Gold as his staple diet; however, there are many different options you can choose from. Some people will say Okiko is a better option, or maybe Humpy Head. Remember once you find a good staple pellet it's good to offer freeze dried food as well!
+1 . hikari bio gold+ is very good for fhs. i feed mine okiko platinum and just the ordinary hikari sticks. it really helps with the colors and the growth. i feed peas occasionally for fibre. a variety of diet is the best. relying on just one type of pellet will not give all the nutrients it needs. some extreme hobbyists use bloodworms for grooming.
Some people recommend grand sumo. But I have been using hikari pellets, flakes and what not.

I have my SRD on Grand Sumo and honestly I could not be happier! He loves them and I've seen some really good KOK growth in 2 weeks time.
You can include the grand sumo. and vary his diet more for more nutrient intake.
