My bass are doing great! They are about 4 inches and have freeze dried blood worms, frozen blood worms, pellets, gohst shrimp LIVE, guppies (That I am breeding as feeders), and small crickets. I wanted to give them a wide selection to ensure they get all the good stuff they need. Once they are bigger I will pond breed feeders for them.

What do you feed your LMB? Any thing else I should try?

I feed mine game fish chow, and uncooked unpealed market shrimp

if they'll take worms that good, i feed mine minnows and the odd crayfish as a treat. mine dont seem to care about gold fish they only take minnows. but its a 2 sided opinion because a high quality pellet is nice for you if they'll take it. but remember the best food for any fish is they're natural food

Sounds like you do have the majority covered, but I would try to get them on a good quality pellet agreed it is not one of their natural foods tehy eat in teh wild .... but pellet food is not a natural food for any fish ... but it does contain most of the nutrients that they need, but I really think your doing a good job and post up some pics I do like seeing the little lmb growing :)

What pellets do you recommend? I am going to have a LMB and would like to explore this option. Can you buy them at Wal-Mart or Pet Smart?

I would try Hikari or NLS
Hikari massivore delight is a good pellet .
I have never used any NLS product but I have read many great reveiws so far the only negative I have heard about NLS is its kinda expensive.

you can get them at a ton of places , but petsmart does carry them .
