What is the best food for Oscars?
Do you feel what you are giving your o is the best?

If you had billons of dollars, what would you feed your Oscar?

I tried feeding my oscar Hikari Gold and all it did was stink up my house...it supposedly is "the best" pellet food...whatever. I since have been feeding my oscar HBH Oscar Show. Unbelievable. Its like crack for fish.
I also feed it earth worms, nitecrawlers(yes, the 6"-8" ones I get at a bait shop), June bugs, grasshoppers(green ones with legs, brown ones no legs),the occasional cricket when I can find them...they are out at nite.
What I dont feed...feeders. Goldfish, guppies etc. I have tried fruits and veggies, kind of hit and miss but spinach and seaweed(dried form sheet) Oscar likes it...occasionally.

if i had a ton of money i would go nothing but live food
mix it up
fish ( not feeders )
worms bugs
fruits stuff they get in there nature
no pellots

Why no pellet?

I feed my O - NLS, Hikari Gold, night crawlers, red worms, wax worms, and homeade frozen food. Its best to vary their diet

not pellots
idk just what i would do
you may think different
:D

me too. if i had tons of money i would buy 20 different prey fish found in oscar's natural habitat, 20 different insect found in their natural habitat, and 20 different fruits and vegetable they eat in the wild.

Nice short-body! Seeing more of these lately.

Yeah, insect and omnivore is right. Earthworms, crickets, pellet foods, live crabs, anything and everything. Mix it up for sure. Veggies like peas, too.
