NLS Growth formula if they are very small
NLS Cichlid Formula 1mm pellets as well

I would feed them frozen brine or spectrum cichlid formula or a combonation of the two.

What are these cichlids you speak of? That will help us give you better info.

Definitely important - different species from different lakes will need different dietary needs.

NLS but also a big tank and lots of water changes can have a great effect on growth

Waterchanges are a BIG part of fast growth, I would say it is at least as important as food.

Baby brine shrimp (BBS) is by far the most nutritious food for fry - other than that a good spirulina-based food (for Malawians) is great for juveniles and adults.

New Life Spectrum is a good food, so is Dainichi.

I got haikri gold and nls. They love the nls starting to hit the floating gold. They also love the tetra flakes. I know its not good food but will it hurt the fish? Also do 50% water change per week

Like the other poster says, depends on species.

I have mbuna fry, they grow crazy on any diet.

BUT, for my Blue Dolphins, I have tried" NLS, HIKARI GOLD, Brine Shrimp pellets, flakes. They grow the fastest on crushed Hikari Gold pellets. I guess I should have known since they are micro predators.

Once you figure out diet, then maintain good water changes. I do 100% on my fry tank every 2-3 days.
