my JD hasnt been eating latly i tryed pellets flakes and brine shrimp so im wondering what else to try what types of frozen foods work best and should i boil them first

try frozen blood worms maybe? My old JD would beg for pellets everyday.

how long have you had this fish? something might be wrong with the water or disease if an established dempsey just goes off pellets like that

Yeah I totally agree, something is wrong if your JD just stopped eating. How is your JD acting, has it's behavior changed at all before it stopped eating? Does it look different in anyway or have white stringy poo?

There is no way a healthy JD would just stop eating. My JDs have eatin any and everything I've given them. Try some blood worms or some chopped up market shrimp.

usually, id say like 95% of the time my jds will eat about anything. But I have seen times they would be kindof finicky for whatever reason. One thing that mine NEVER turn down is live ghost shrimp. If you can get your hands on some try it. All my cichlids seem to really love them.

I believe she is new to the tank, not sure tho. If that's the case, she might not be familiar with the food you're feeding her, or like it. It may take a day or two for her to eat. Also try another food, something alive, it should kick in her instinct to hunt her food. Or ask the LFS what they were feeding her?

If she hasn't eaten in 3 days, then I would worry.
