What is the best food to feed my cichlids at an early age they kill the frozen blood worm cubes and like the dried blood worms but wouldnt the dried blood worms have nutrition than the frozen blood worm cubes?? Anyway what would be the best food for there color and also the best nutrition for them, they they are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

Why are you posting so many threads in one day? Your almost spamming the CA/SA cichlid section. You do not need to ask us about everything, your a big boy, you can do it yourself.

The best food for cichlids is a variety.
I feed my oscar a variety each day...
His staple is Hikari Cichlid Bio Gold+
He also gets Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, omega one shrimp pellets, food sticks, NLS, freeze dried krill, silversides, crickets, flies, and worms (those last 3 on occasion)
My only complaint about the Hikari Sinking Carnivore (aka mini massivore) is that it makes a HUGE mess in my water column when he chews it, unlike the bio gold which never comes out his gills.

Your are going to get a bunch of opinions on this topic. "What's best to feed my cichlids" has been covered so many times(arguments usually ensue) that it isn't even funny. Search the board and you will find plenty of info. As far as what to feed your cichlids... quantity is much less important than quality(Neil "RD." and Chris "cchhcc" taught me that). Read the label and know what your feeding your fish. Don't feed your fish a bunch of artificial fillers. As far as brands everyone has their preferences. I use NLS most of the time. I also occasionally use Omega one veggie rounds as well as omega one shrimp pellets. I also occasionally use small insects. But my fish eat majority NLS. The top brands most people use are NLS, Omega One, Kens fish food, and Hikari Cichlid gold.
