Best Food?

I was wondering what is the best food to feed a pleco and keep my tank clean. I was feeding my L144 Bristlenose pleco cucumber and zucchini at night, but in the morning i'd find seeds and strands of the vegetable everywhere in my tank. Looks really messy. Thanks for the feed back.

I do feed my pleco wafers but the dietary needs thread says that should not be all you feed a pleco i was wondering if there is anything else.

yea.... read the whole dietry thread. Theres about 20 listed alternatives are fresh vegetables, and Ancistrus genus is covered in what to offer them. Basically mainly a fibrous diet with some protein based foods on the side.

Remember that variety is key. Most plecs are omnivores.
