Hey all, so I have 2 EBJD babies that I'm currently growing from purchase size of about 1.5" I am currently feeding them a mixture of fish flakes, live black worms, frozen bloodworms aswell as mini cichlid bites and chopped up garden worms, I was just wondering if anyone has raised them from this small and if there are any other foods that will help my babies grow fast and get good color.

Sounds like you are on the right path with the food. Keep up with the WC and you should be ok. I don't believe these guys grow very fast so you will have to be patient with them.

Bloodworms are not beneficial to your blues health at all.
If anything, they will bloat them up just like your top ebjd is in the pic and can lead to sbd.
They have very sensitive digestive systems and they are not quick growers so you shouldn't be concerned with growing them quickly.
Feed a quality low protein staple diet like NLS and they will be great

Questions......how many of you giving Lead20 advice has grown them up from frys to adult ? "I was just wondering if anyone has raised them from this small and if there are any other foods that will help my babies grow fast and get good color"

They look good and your diet for them sounds fine. I was told not to feed my EBJDs worms but i do all the time and they are growing fast and doing well was told to feed nls pellets wich i dont. I dont feed them any pellets at all and have had no problems with bloat and all 5 of my EBJDs are alive and well.
