I'm aware of the generally accepted best pellet/frozen food brands, but I've never found anything on freeze-dried. I'm also aware pellet/frozen is much more nutritional, as I've been feeding my fish that for the last 8 months. My new jack however, is still learning his surroundings and I'd like to get him to recognize me a bit more. He already knows I control the food, as he comes up to the surface, but I'd like to let my other housemates feed him, and I feel the best way would be the freeze-dried krill bits. I'd also like to do it as well, so he'll be a bit more comfortable when I stick my hands in the tank to do water changes.

So, with as many brands out there, is there a clear front-runner for freeze-dried in terms of safety/quality like there is for pellet/frozen like NLS/hikari are?

I have bought freeze dried Antarctic krill, krill fines, blood worms, and brine shrimp cubes from jehmco.com. I am currently using them and they are very good quality IMO. I would definitively recommend them and buy from them again. Great quality and price. Also check out kensfish.com. They also have good quality and prices. My fish love Kens freeze dried meal-worms.
