Hey Everyone,

After another mess with the bucket method (just not lucky and clumsy) I figure it's time to spend some $$. My tank is 25 inches high...so the gravel vac should be long. So title says it all, what do you think is the best gravel vac and water changer combo? By this I mean picks up the most dirt in tall tanks and still creates a vacuum to bring water up into the sink and out....and of coarse water back into the tank.

Also how would you add the de-chlorinator? I was thinking after you take out % of water...you add 1/2 dose of prime...then after adding the tap water the other 1/2 would be added.

I have the aqueon version and love it both are nice but the aqueon is cheaper if that's a deciding factor. Order online either way and save money.

I use the Aqueon now, used the Python for about 15 years. Both good options.

I dechlorinate with "Safe" which is the powdered version of Prime. Goes alot further is you are changing alot of H20 weekly. I just turn the flow around and dose powder right in the water flow.

+1 life has been so much easier since I got my Python just before you turn water back to fill throw in the prime havn't had a issue.

I bought a faucet garden hose adapter already have hoses. Plus I get to regulate temp then hook it to a small $10 pump and vacuum with that. If you already have a hose costs less than 20 bucks
