I have a 260-gallon Discus/FW Stingray tank and I need some aquascaping advice. The stingray forbids me to plant anything in the sand, but I have a nice piece of driftwood in one corner of the tank from top to bottom that could support some nice mosses. The tank is fairly buffered, 6.5ph, 83degrees, and I am using Marineland Double Bright LEDs. I've considered XMas Moss, but don't know much about it??

Spiky moss grows well on driftwood. Its not finicky, grows quickly, and looks great IMO.

Thanks....I'll do a bit of research on the spiky moss.

I have 2 x 36" Marineland Double Bright LED units (attached in the middle to form one 72" unit). They are approximately 6 months old.

Your tank setup looks pretty sweet... just a shame your equipment is all exposed, otherwise it would look really clean...

Thanks. The extra heater hanging down the center doesn't help. Picture was taken during the winter and I add the additional heater to maintain the temp in the tank. I really wish I could hide everything.........

I put pieces of moss ball in the cracks of my dw, and it slowly grows and stays attached. Looks cool
