Best HOB breeder?

I've come to hate the in-tank nets that hang on the back. Marina (Hagen) has one that hangs on the back/side, but on the outside of the tank and uses an air pump to flow water through. It is easy to clean, has removable dividers to allow multiple broods at once (I kept fry from 2 female peacocks and 1 aurora cichlid in it at same time and separated, and is small enough to keep the food where the fry can get to it long enough for them to eat their fill. I LOVE it!

Here's mine in use. It is the Large size box hanging on the side of a standard 20gallon Tall tank.

Does water go back into the tank like what a HOB filter would do? I have a bunch of batches of sterbai corys and this seems interesting.

But then the parents would eat them. I like how you can separate batches. I have for batches of sterbais and I don't want the older fish eating the younger ones.

Yes. On my top photo, you see the up-tube and the airline on the bottom of the photo, on the top of the top photo you see water pouring back into the tank it's hung on.

It doesn't flow a LOT of water, but my air pump filled my HOB in less than 10 minutes. With greater than 6x turnover per hour, I'm plenty happy with it.

The one above is the 'large' size, and has up to three separate areas. I did see the 'small' size with no dividers at petsmart, if you don't want to order them online.
