I always give my fish plenty of places to hide because I know it brings their stress level down. At the moment my home of choice are clay pots, chopped in half, filed down, whole. My 9" Clown Knife is currently living in a large clay pot that he can swim all the way through, I can tell he isnt comfortable in it though because he dosent stay put for long because his tail hangs out the end.
Can anybody show me what they house their knife in? I've heard pvc pipe is good.

firstly he should be in water  :nilly: :chillpill:

just have many potential hiding places. Caves, rocks, PVC pipe an fittings of a appropriate size.

I have a PVC pipe that my Knife loves. There's nothing pretty about it. It's there for function.

Go for the right size pipe! They will like it and its cheap, thats what I've seen used the most,

Mine really like pvc. I tried to "disguise" it by glueing (fish safe of course) large silk plant leaves on it. It is still ugly, but my fish love them so much, I opted for their happiness over tank appearance. They love to lie in them. The only trick was finding pieces with a larger diameter once my guys out grew theirs. Home Depot and Lowe's sell them up to 4" but I had to find a proper plumbing supply place for 6" ones. The employees were very amused at what I was going to do with their pipes. I am not sure what I will do when they out grow 6" pipes?

The only cover mine has is a couple of fake plants. The smaller 6" one uses them for cover much more than my 12" one. The 12" one just kinda cruises the tank. Though I'm sure if I put something in there for cover they'd all try cramming themselves in there...

My royal does not like PVC or ABS. I have several large chunks of Malaysian driftwood some that have holes, and caves in them. He loves the wood, and it looks good.
