Hi, I have a platy that was my first fish, that survived ich and fin rot because of my beginner mistakes. Well, anyways he either got hurt somehow and poped his eye and cut above his face, or has pop eye that hurt above his eye somehow. Anyways, today he is starting to rest a bit, although he is still eating and swimming around. Just he is resting more and more and his eye is more popped. I've been adding salt because i can't buy the pop eye meds but the salt isnt doing much. I was thinking of just letting him die happily in the big tank.
Is it contagous for the other fish? Is adding salt dangerous for a pregnent platy and her fry?
