Hi Guys,

I'll be in Baltimore on Friday and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good LFS?

Thanks

I don't know any right in Baltimore. If you're willing to drive down into Northern Virginia, there is a large store in Annandale called Super Pets. Havent been there in years but from what I have heard they have only gotten bigger and they are still there. There is another store west of Baltimore but I can't remember the city, maybe Randalstown? Of course if you drive north into PA, there is That Pet Place in Lancaster. It's supposed to be a very nice store and they have a huge website.

House of Tropicals does llok promising (I just googled their website) althought they are located in Glen Burnie, but thats closer than the ones I mentioned earlier.

+1

House of tropicals is definitely the best in the baltimore area. There are some stores around DC but HOT is bigger than them. I dont know about the store in Northern virginia someone mentioned. I know of a good store in Riverdale near DC that only does large cichlids. Its called Riverdale pets and its kinda hard to find but worth it if you are looking for big cichlids/flowerhorns/plecos/piranhas/pacus.

Try the house of tropicals or exotic aquatics

Agreed! Depending on what you are looking for, certain stores are better choices. HOT has a huge range of species, Exotics has a ton of community and sw fish, but can leave something to be desired in the sa cichlid section on occasion.
