Ok I have some jags in my 180 but I'm not real happy with the light that is on the tank.(strip lights).
So what bulbs are you using for your jags?
The bulbs I'm using seem to make them appear very dark.(the lights are not very bright).
Any help would be great!

All im asking is what kind of bulb do you guys use on your jaguar tanks???
No light? Light?

Most bulbs loose intensity over time.I think 2 yrs is max life.i have been switching to led lights on all my tanks, bright white, natural look.I got 2 of mine from aquatraders.

I have two strip lights on my 120 gallon
One has a 'flora sun' brand t-8 max plant growth bulb...the other is a 'aqua glow' 40 watt t-8...when I take pics I usually have both lights on....

pretty sure jags are mainly found in pretty slow moving and muddy type bodies of water, so light is probably not that bright. they don't really require much oxygenated water. Don't think it matters though being in an aquarium. Any light will do that you like, there's nothing that will make a difference in color, only when it comes to photographing. Mine are in some murky water, but I can clearly see bright yellows and blues
