Best lights????

whats the best lights you guys are using for cichla to make the greens,reds adn blues pop? i have a twin flour. hood. currently running 2 life glo 2 bulbs. i want it to look natural but make colors pop.also i have a black background with natural and black sand mixed

honestly thats probably the worst color combo you can have on a cichla tank. thats more for a reef setup or fish with a lot of violet and blue colors, like african cichlids. think about it, cichla's main colors are green, red and yellow/gold. so you wanna pick lights in that spectrum that will highlight those colors. and those lights are 6500-10,000k.

I just put these on my 450g. I believe the freshwater light is rated at 6750k.

I am using t-8 shop fixtures over my tanks with ge 6500k bulbs, they really bring out the greens in my bass. I then bought some 10000k bulbs an put them in along with the 6500k bulbs and it really brought out the blues in my orinos. I would suggest a mix of the two so you can bring out all the colors of these amazing fish.
