What are the best looking fake plants, I love the look of planted tanks but have no experience with them so Id like some fake plants that look real. Any suggestions and pictures of cool tanks w/ fake plants

IMO the big bamboo ones, but I just don't like the idea of fake decor so I have a bunch of anubias attached to driftwood...I also ordered yesterday some brazilian pennywort (floating)

Everything in the tank except for the big bamboo and the sword plants are tetra water wonders. They've been in there for 2 and a half months. Also, they make big baseplates for you to attach the plants to. They are also designed to be attached to various ornaments made by tetra. Penn Plax makes the amazon swords, and they are REALLY good quality. The bamboo plants are called "fancy plants giants" and also look really great and are excellent for small fish to hide in. they are 36" tall, but you can cut them down and they still look good. with some aquarium silicone, you can customize them heavily.

The ones you buy from Michael's ;)

I have always been a fan of the silk plants as opposed to the plastic ones, but some plastic plants do end up looking pretty good. Just shy away from any really cheap ones and ones with un-natural colors and you will have a nice looking tank. It also helps to clump 2 or 3 of the same plant together for the smaller ones, same as you would with live plants.

Thanks guys, also as for the michaels plants, Ive always thought those would look good but have heard some of the materials used in them may be toxic to your fish, glad to see you havent had any problems.

btw I never believed it but always figured better safe than sorry
