whats the best lung if any that can be housed with a couple gars and some cichlids? also possibly some stingrays?

thank you

I don't think you'll find anybody willing to donate a lung from their body. LOL what a visual...

Anyways, an Australian would probably work, but impractical as they are almost impossible to get (Thanks to Neo hoarding!) The next pick would be a South American, BUT care must be taken that 1) the lung gets enough food, and 2) that it doesn't get bitten on, and 3) that the lung does not like to bite tankmates.
Number 3 is common.

No, I do not recommend it, no, and Cichlids are a little too aggressive for me to feel comfortable with telling you "yes"

You could try it, but the lungfish (South American) would need to be at least a foot long specimen. Otherwise he will get bullied around / starved.

Cichlids are Cichlids - they will push the lungfish around, so he needs to have size to it, and they are very slow feeders.

oh ok gotcha

thank you
so any long should be good right?

No, not any lung. An African would make very short work of your cichlids. The S A lung is the only one that MAY work for you, as long as he is already larger.
