best male:female convict ratio

i am going to get into some convict breeding very soon. i was just wondering if i could get 2 females and 1 male. would the females take turns with the spawning, would they spawn at the same time, or will they fight?

would it be best just to get one pair (1 male and 1 female) for breeding purposes.

either way, 2female 1male or 1 and 1, they will be alone in a 35 gallon breeder.
 
this past Saturday i bought 2f/1m and a pair had formed by monday. the male was making it hell for the remaining female. i had to move her to another tank just to aviod her being killed. i had been warned that this would probably happen but i went ahead with it anyway just to allow the male a choice between atleast 2 females. good luck with whatever you choose.
 
You should be fine with 1m and 2f. This will give the male 2 options for a mate. You should however remove the extra female once a pair has been established, otherwise, he'll make her life hell.
