I heard that it's okay to tie a plant on a driftwood with a rubberband..and itll eventually disentegrate and the roots will grow onto the wood..is dis true? is it really okay to let a rubberband disentegrate in ur tank? if not, what do u suggest i try using? fishing line? will dis disentegrate in my tank also as time passes by? thanks in advanced

Rubber bands dont really disentigrate into the tank. I had 1 sitting in my tank for several months (i was too lazy to take 5 seconds and take it out lol) and it just got brittle. Fishing line might be too thin, it might cut the plants. I would try rubber bands though and you could just cut them off after the plants attach themselves, or if you decide to use fishing line just dont tie it too tight!

cotton thread works pretty good, and it actually does break down after awhile. has to be cotton tho, nylon and other synthetics wont break down

i am planning on planting a bunch of anubias and tall amazon swords..possibly some java ferns

If you can find it, java moss is imo the best looking plant to attach to driftwood. I would have a bunch of it but I cant find it anywhere near me!
