k my wet dry doesnt have the best material thats being used for filtration.
but i wanna know
best material to keep ur water clear (not murky or cloudy)
best material to catch the debris in ur tank
best material for bio media ( i persoally like pot scrubbers)
and best material to use a drip plate of. (egg crates good?)
i keep doing maintance on my filter and i jsut wanna get everything right and stop touching fish water!!!!

1) water changes/purigen
2) pillow stuffing on top of a 50 micron pad
3) pot scrubbers, efhi substrate pro, Matrix
4) yea
 
Best biomedia IMO is cell-pore. Pot scrubbers are good, due to their price, however, they are a long shot from cell-pore in surface area.
