Best Media for Eheim 600 Canister Filter

Hi all,

just wondering what the best media would be for an Eheim 600 Canister Filter ?

I have at the moment only ceramic noodles inside it, i'm using this filter for an african cichlid tank

I've had good results with the stock Eheim media, first layer EhfiMech (tubes), next couple layers are the blue foam pads, next layer is white fine pad and finally a media bag with bio-media. I use Ehfi Substrat Pro or Seachem Matrix/Pond Matrix.
