hey all, I'm on the hunt for a net in case i would ever have to remove my rbp's temporarily from their tank. I have a 90 gallon, which is quite deep and my current net doesnt fully reach the bottom.. Its not like I dont trust them
BUT! i would like a net with a long handle a large, very durable net to accommodate them when they are 7" +. any suggestions? thanks

at 7+ inches, you'd probably have better luck lowering the water and ushering them into some type of container. otherwise use a cheap net cuz they're going to destroy it anyways

large metal strainer would work, like this

or use a big bucket/container, guide the fish in with a net the scoop the fish up in the container together with water, much less stress on the fish.

metal strainer will tear a fishes noggin up big time if they run into it. Just my $.02

Metal anything is gonna be hard on your fish IMO. Go to a baitshop. They have broom stick handled nets that are both bigger, deeper, & stronger than cheap ass Lfs nets? Plus they're cheap also. & you can even get em with rubberized netting! Only way to go! They're like 7$ here n worth 3 times that much IMO.
