Best OHF Filter Media

Hi, I am currently reviving my an old 4ft overhead filter and wondering what could be the best filter media for it. Thanks in advance
 
I'd think poret foam would be the lightest with the most surface area. how is this setup? what kind of filtration are you looking to do?

Thanks mate. I took your advice about biohome gray. The store owner told me that the red in biohome is only for new tanks so I only bought the grey ones. The brand ANS isn't available in the Philippines so I just bought 1 kg of biohome. It claims that 1 kg is for 700g of freshwater. Just have to wait and find out. For the powerhead, what do you think is best? Please suggest a good brand but not too expensive since I'm still a student lol. Thanks again
 
Biohome plus for your powerhead. and the new version of Biohome Ultra for any OHF if you can get it ?, its like Bacteria house in size but far more porous and in the UK its cheaper..

Believe it or not, I only got my biohome grey for 24 USD. It is the 1kg type and I got it brand new. They also told me that I don't need ultra too because the grey ones acts like one too. For the powerhead, I really mean the powerhead not the filter media. Thanks mate.
 
you should provide good mechanical filtration (coarse to finer floss sponges) before the biological media. biohome works effectively and will not clogged up easily in this case
