Hey everyone. Let's make this thread short. I just want to know which kind of paint is best for painting the back of my 120 gallon. I have heard both latex and enamel paint are good.

I've had great luck with several thin coats of enamel. However, Latex is easier to remove later if you want to.
Both will work well:)

I use ACE hardware spray enamel and yes several light coats are better than
a few heavy coats less chance of runs too-Anne

Glass or acrylic?

If you think you might want to remove it someday...latex.

Same brand I use... It is actually made by Krylon paints.

I personally would recommend the use of ace enamel spray paint in a flat black. This had the best adhesion for glass. When I did my old 135, I used 25 coats of paint, very very light passes every time, and I waited 5-10 between passes.

On my first tank I used rustoleum and found it to be a pain in the butt. It took several coats and the drying time took forever. But once it was on I was happy with the results. Oh yeah I used a brush and two different shades of blue.
