What does everyone think is the best pellet food for growing big, healthy, and colorful piranhas fast? I will be ordering some online and I need to know what people think is good.

The only thing is mine aften times wont come up to the surface to eat. So i am not sure if the floating type will work.
they will, you just have to let them get used to it. usually when the pellets float in front of the hob, the flow coming out of the filter pushes the pellets down so that it catches their attention. sometimes they'll just go at it out of curiosity and once they realize that they are food, they'll start hittin the surface to get them.

Ok so Joe the fish you have now are feeding on the hikari bio gold + right? If so I have seen the pics and your fish have some of the best color I have ever seen. Plus the growth rate was very good.

yep, hikari bio gold plus either shrimp, tilapia, catfish, silversides, or krill everyday, and occasionally convicts that i breed myself.

Not trying to hijack this thread but yesterday I found Tetra Cichlid Jumbo Sticks at Walmart for $9.99 for the big can 7.4oz. I was getting Tetra JumboMin Food sticks at the lfs for $19.99 for the same size can. It looks to be the exact same product not sure which is current production from Tetra. Does anyone know? Huge price difference so I bought 2 cans! My fish love these food sticks and eat them from my hand.

i order my pellets from bigalsonline.com, i go through so many pellets with all of my tanks and they sell the 8 oz bag for 8 bucks i think as opposed to almost 20 in most stores.
