So I got bit by the Flowerhorn bug! I bought one little guy last week and would like to look into a couple more to grow out and potentially try to breed them. Seems like a lot of people in the Los Angeles area don't have FH fry for sale. Only larger fish. Any advice on where to buy either in LA or online? I don't mind to pay for shipping as long as they are they are quality fish and the prices are fair.

Im local. Im selling this one. $30

4" big head female , short body, fading

I have this male fader I bred myself that might go well with animal guy's female if you want to get into breeding...also about 4 inches & fading. He's got a nice size head already. Below are the parents...mom is the pic #3. Pic #4 is a nice pearly one that hasn't faded yet and the last pic is the batch these guys came from. Note...I only have 5 I'm growing out.

I have a few others that have not faded yet and pretty sure they're all males. Looking to get out of the hobby for now so good deal for someone out there that's interested. Also have a 40 gal & 55 gal glass tanks for grow outs or for breeding. Looking to get rid of all. I'll post the fading stages on another thread.

Local is better because you can pick the ones you want
Online, you don't get to pick the ones you want, plus shipping is expensive. High quality parents doesn't equal every fry will look good. Last thing you want to do is pay $100 for fry online and you didn't get what you wanted.

Thanks for the advice. Definitely a good point. I plan on looking at a few locally before I do anything online. I have been talking to a few people trying to decide what I want to do.
