I am setting up a 125 gal(footprint is 6'x1.5') I'm using an FX5 for filtration. Title says it all but what do you guys think is the best placement??

Both on the same end of the tank?
One on each end?
etc......

Thanks in advance
Jamie

One on each end. You want the current to suspend and blow any waste towards the intake.

I agree-----as far apart as you can get them.

Thats what I thought with a 6' tank. I have powerheads added to some of my 4' tanks and the power of the powerheads actually pushes the "poop" back to the end of the tank where the powerhead is.

Is the FX5 powerful enough to make the poop come back to where the output is on a 6' tank like mentioned above on my 4' tanks? MAKE SENSE, I'm just looking for a little insight before I cut the hoses for my FX5.

Thanks

Leave the hoses as long as possible in case you want to move them.

I have an FX5 in my 150 CM (5 feet) Mbuna tank, I used to have the intake and output in opposite corners, this did not do the trick. There is a lot of crap in an overstocked Mbuna tank. When I moved them to the same corner, it worked a lot better. I still have a few "dead" zones but that is mainly due to rock formations.
