I was just what is the best non-aquarium plant for tackling nitrates? I was debating between using porthos vs lucky bamboo vs arrowheads. I currently have porthos and luckybamboo but it does not seem like it is doing much. I am thinking I need to add a bunch more and want to make sure I am adding the best option.
Also, the bamboo is really starting to grow, but the porthos is not which I am assuming is related to light. What kind of light bulb should I buy to put over these plants and how many hours a day would really be needed?
