About to set up a 65 gallon, and I was wondering what the best plants are for:

Managuense cichlids
convicts
green terror

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

lmao..

oh man, the jag is not the kind of fish you want to keep with plants, they wreck everything, i've tried and failed before, not to mention 65 is to small to keep Managuense

Plastic.... Had a medium (4-5") GT that destroyed all plants in its way

amazon swords... hardy plants. My jag tolerated them, he/she dug around the plants...the jag however did not tolerate my rocks standing to form caves, it would always lay the rocks down...

Im sure you could get some floating plants too,

The best thing would be to silicon some fake plants to some large rocks or driftwood, so they can't dig them out.

As stated amazons will work well. Any plant with a similar root structure will work. Which means more swords. Also, plants that root to objects like java fern, bolbitis ferns, java moss, and anubias all will work well.

you could go plastic but the silk ones look more realistic personally I have never been able to keep plants with my jag they are major diggers which often destroys the root systems of live plants
