Best pleco/Panaque for Cichla tank

O.K. guys, I need some advice...i'm thinking about getting a pleco for the 300 gal to go w/ my Orino growouts, but i'm not sure which type to get. I've kept several commons and bristlenose throughout the yrs, but i would like to get one of the more rarer sp. ( not just a glass cleaner) Johns got alot of cool Plecos/ Panaques right now but i'm just not too familiar w/ the different sp. as far as size and diet goes. So any suggestions? The tank inhabitants are 4 Orinos @ 6.5" and a 12"-14" Endli. Help a brutha out! Thanks guys
 
I have large royals with mine, blue, queen, albino, and a few more. These guys are from 6" to 12" so as of right now, I have no issues. Well, actually I do, those royals can eat some wood and move some waste. Im thinking about trading all buy my biggest royal, others dont do this.
 
Thanks for the response...yea i've actually been lookin at the royals. Snookn's got some that are about 8"...I'm looking for one that i could keep w/ the O's long term so it's gotta get pretty big, pretty fast haha...did you raise the big guy to 12" or buy him at that size? I'm trying to get an idea of the growth rate.
 
I bought a royal for my tank but I haven't had the balls to move him over. I'm afriad he's really going to make a mess with all the driftwood and i'm worried about how he'll play with my ray. I'm going to pick up a fei feng and hope it can do some clean up.

Do you have driftwood in your tank? is it barebottom?

Hey Ado...It's a bare bottom but i've got several pieces of driftwood in there. Do they really eat THAT much wood? Yea i'd be a little worried about the pleco w/ the ray too. I've heard they'll take the slimecoat off rays and bichers. And yea I've also considered a flagtail but i'm afraid the rinos would bully it to death, (they've killed everything i've tried to add so far) Minus the Ven. pike, he put a pretty good whoopin on them. Hard to find the right combo of tankmates. Seems like more Cichla is the way to go, but i need something to help w/ the algae...30" deep tank makes it a B to clean haha.

Yea i was worried about it messin w/ my Endli...i think i'll just get a flagtail and see how it turns out. Thanks again
