Finally finished my basement and I'm ready to start buying materials to build a 8ft plywood tank. I've noticed most people use birch, but what would be some of the other go-to plywoods?

People use birch because it's cheap, strong, and readily available at most stores. You could go something like marine grade plywood, but I think the general consensus is if your plywood gets wet your tank is done either way, so no use spending the extra money. If you are looking for something cheaper, I do not think their are any good options as any cheaper plywood is going to be unfit for building a tank out of.
