prefer to buy at a bestbuy using my card but... anyway I like point and shoot. I have had 3 different ones in the last couple of years and not happy with any of them. Had a kodak, a sony, and most recently a nikon. i know each brand has various models but I never could get clear still looking pics of my fish. Still objects always came out good but anything in motion was always blurry. What camera will work?

Nikon Digital SLR. I have the D50. Its awsome for point and shoot..
No hesitation between the click and the actual picture taking.

Click and the picture is taken. And if your new at cameras, you can choose the auto feature and it will automatically focus. I get a lot of complements on my photos because of this camera.

edit: i didnt realize a "point and shoot" was a small little camera. The SLR is a full sized camera. Nevermind. oops

I was thinking about doing SLR but kinda want something smaller. i may end up doing SLR though

you should. You need to carry around a larger camera, but with the pictures that you DO get, its totally worth it.

You can always use your phone if you want something small in case you want to take a quick picture and you dont have your SLR with you.

Check out the Cannon G7. Has an aquarium mode and an underwater mode (you need the underwater casing for underwater). 10 MP. Fast. Love to be able to do short video clips. The aquarium mode eliminates the flash spot in the pics.

I picked up a BNIB Nikon D40 with kit lense, 4gb card, and bag for $450. It's small enough to where I can carry around easily, but takes some great pictures for its size.

Can't go wrong with the Cannon Powershots.
