best pond filtration

My girlfriends dad has a 350~ gallon pond and wants me to pick out the best filter for it. It has a water fall already about 3 feet up and we would like the return to flow off the water fall. Also we would like to use the existing pump currently being used for circulation (1/6 hp 750 gph). It must be external and easy to use so he can clean it. I already looked and saw the laguna 4500 which seemed reasonably priced, my only question is...... When we try and return the water up higher than the container to the water fall will the water simply flow out of the top of the filter I cannot tell if it is sealed my guess it is not and this will be a problem.

I found an alternate photo that answered my own question the laguna 4500 will not work. I'm worried about the filter getting clogged and burning out the pump. Any suggestions

Personally, I hate pressure filters. They don't do the job and get too easily clogged and maintaining them is time consuming. Go with a box (gravatational filter) instead:

Will I be able to send the return upwards?? He would like to use the same pump that runs the water fall.

You can only send the return upwards with a pressure filter.
