best powerhead to buy?

hey guys what kind of powerheads do you guys use and recommend? is the aquaclear series good? brands/kinds to avoid? i'm looking for any kind for a standard fresh tank with airhose for aeration. just looking to add some movement, mechanical filtration and aeration (i love powerheads). thanks!

I really like rio powerheads. If you don't have tiny fish koralia powerheads are awesome too. Aquaclear powerheads are pretty good too.

I love Koralias, but they don't inject air. I'd recommend a maxijet over aquaclear personally. Cheap and reliable.

Depends on what you are using them for. Injecting air isnt something you really want on a salt water tank.

Bang for the buck, Koralia is nice. Aquaclear makes qaulity products too.

But the ultimate, IMO, is Vortech.... and the price tag reflects that.

I actually use it on an aquaclear HOB so it doesn't suck up my shrimp. It has already lasted a few years.

Koralias are my preference, but I will also use aqua clears and maxi jets.

I forgot about Tunze. They will run forever if you take care of them.

But I find them to be cost inhibitive.
