Hello,
I am a big fan of both cichlids and ancient predators. I have 4 bichirs, a marble goby, and a couple other predators spread across my (primariy cichlid) tanks. The 2 p. senegalus take prepared foods, but I'm trying to get the marble goby, ornate bichir, and endlicheri to do the same. For obvious reasons, I don't want to just feed them feeder fish for the rest of their lives. I had some questions regarding this. First, how often should I be feeding them live feeders? Should I just starve them until they comply? Second, what strategies have worked to get them to take prepared foods? It's not an issue of expense, but rather of health and convenience. Any help is much appreciated.

Hello there =D. From what I known (marble goby only) , U should starve the fish for 3-5 days . Feed with pellets. A lot of people is doing that . Oh ya ! U could cook the fish in case it dies out of hungry ! It taste great ! =D
