My main tank is a 10'x4' and I have (2) 125 gallon sumps that I have been using for grow outs. My new born pups I have been putting in floating containers but due to the gap between the bottom of the main tank and the top of the sumps I am limited in the size of the floating dividers I made. The pups also seem to keep jumping out of containers and getting into the main sumps. With the amount of current and size of the sumps I am not able to feed the pups as much as I feel they should be getting. I am thinking of tying in another small tank so that I can start the pups out in the small tank and get them feeding well and them move them into the sumps once they get a little bigger. What size tank do you think would be best? Keep in mind the tank will be plumbed into the main tank so water parameters will not be an issue. Would a 30 gallon be too small to keep new born pups for the first month or so of life?
