Hey MFK curious bout fish personalities today so give me your top 5 breed of fish with the best personalities for both CA and SA cichlids!

Sorry only gave three that I know that have loads of attitude and smarts. I have owned other SA/CA cichlids but these three in my eyes are top dogs. There might be others but I dont have experiance with them. Some people say midas and oscars could be interchangeable for 1 and 2 spot I sorta agree to a point when oscars get huge they can be somewhat boring where midas always seem to be a fireball no matter how big they get. Trimacs are very smart fish but if kept alone without female or tankmates they seem to just chill out unless they are hungry haha.

I think the answers given here have been pretty accurate. If you're looking for a "wet pet" it's probably best to keep one fish alone for maximum interaction.

Oscars, any Vieja (I like my Bifasciatus personally), Midas, Devils, Trimacs, most of the Parachromis as well.
