Best schooling tank mates w/an arowana

I have a 240 gal with a 17" silver aro and wanted some schooling fish as tankmates. What combination of schooling fish would work best? I've seen tinfoils, silver dollars, parrots.

I've seen everything from cardinal tetras to discus. Larger silver dollars would be a safer bet though

silver dollars, clown loaches. You may be able to get away with some tetras. Balas or tin foils are nice but I think your tank is too small for a school of either.

i go with giant danios. my aro slowly picks them off, but 50 cents later, i have one to replace it lol

Congo tetras and Buenos Aires tetras get decent size. Giant danios are nice also.

Clown loaches are a nice compliment, aros are messy feeders and the loaches are a good clean up crew as they like the same foods as the aros.
