They still look small enough to me. If they are in a group already, I think you have a good chance. There is a good second hand market for these fish, so I wouldn't be too worried about spending out, as long as you isolate any that get pushed out of the group in time.
I'm not sure of its possible to determine gender at that size, but if you could choose, I would go for 2 males and 3 females. I would pick them out of the bunch myself, 2 or 3 of the larger ones and the remainder for the medium sized stock. I'm pretty sure it's just luck of the draw though. When they approach maturity and fill out, there's a better chance of sexing them, but you would most likely be down to 1 or 2 at that time anyway.
Pairing will start to happen around 8”-10” mark. for best results you want a male heavy group 2F 3-4M but sexing is very difficult at that size even to a trained eye.
Bigger groups then 5-6 tend to hinder pairing.

Sit back and watch the battles . Once mature enough a female will make her choice at that point she joins the fights . females are the killers , once a male is chosen
The rest will be targeted and she’ll butcher them brutally .
