Using a mix of different whites and blues and yellow LEDs on a controller in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply to thread" Will see if i can find that post by ken! Iv bean to the shop and got a mix of T5 tubes! A 9k day light for a cool bright white light" Also a 4100K nature light wich helps with natural colours of tank/fish and helps with plants!

Do i need to put light reflectors on tubes?

Do you have adjustable LEDs?

If so, they can be tuned with a remote, each 3 colors to whatever settings you like.
I just got one recently and it is quite amazing, though I wish it had more punch, like HID lighting.

That sounds good being on a remote and being able to adjust each colour LED" i looked at the New Fluvel tropical LED light unit £280 thow! and i dont think the spread of the light is wide enough for my 30inch/30 high tank! Think the LED lights are powerfull on smaller say planted tanks!
