I have 4 eheim jager 300 watt heaters. Of those 4 it appears 2 are lightly faulty and place ambient volts in my tank. I'm starting this thread to inquire about what might potentially be the best heater brands on the market.
I've lost more fish in my life to heater related disasters than any disease or other equipment failure... I've lost hundreds of fish in the last 15 years to heaters dying, heaters overheating, heaters burning up and emitting toxic fumes into the tank and poisoning the fish, heaters cracking and electrocuting fish because there was a funky ground on the tank that put current through the main swimming real-estate... the list goes on.
I'm reaching out to the aquarists out there who have lots of experience in this department as I look to replace my heaters.
