Thinking my 55g is soon goin to be switched around to house a green spotted puffer and quite a bit of plants.. So I'm curious to whether it makes a difference if I were to use sand instead of rocks? Is one better than the other or really just a preference on looks?

fine white sand would look really good but could be a pain when cleaning.

Considering GSP need to go from brackish to almost marine conditions as they age i'm curious to know what plants you are planning on using?

Well it's currently in freshwater so it'll be a slow aclimation to salt as it grows so once it becomes more salt ill switch to plastic plants. Or may just do plastic from the get-go

Thats cool, but just incase you didnt know, even at around 3" they should already be in brackish water...

Not an issue. Found some pretty nice looking plastic plants so will just use plastic and go brackish from the get go.

Curious about one thing though.. As for decorations and what not in the tank... Has anyone ever added any live rock? Would the rock live in semi salt conditions???
