Hey what is the best food for sunfish? I have been feeding worms, cichlid pellets, and goldfish flakes. Is there anything else that I should be feeding?

Purchase some small feeder goldfish or minnows if it is a large sunfish. Fun to watch, healthy for the fish. (P.S.- Goldfish are less nutritional that minnows, so if you have a choice, purchase minnows, but quarantine either type no matter what.)

I would try to get them on a good pellet diet such as NLS and then supplement with other foods such as blood worms, various insects, worms, chopped up fish. The best Idea is always to balance as best as possible with a good starting base.

4 oz. Salmon or other fish
1 oz pellets (MASSIVORE)1.8fish-pellet
12-24 insects (crickets, worms, june bugs, ect.)
4 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 jar banana baby food (or other fruit)
1 jar carrots baby food (or other veggie)
1 jar peas baby food (or other veggie)
1 envelope of unflavored gelatin
Vulti-vitamin crushed
A little water (add just enough water to help the blender along)
Mix in blender or food processor
Freeze and cut to size or spread over a commercial light diffuser on a cookie sheet for perfect 3/4" squares*
