so it seems my tank is steering it's way towards a poly centric tank seeing as i just added 10 new polys :grinno:

i wana arrange my tank/habitat more towards making them happy/less stress from being in captivity, what are some things i should consider?

i know polys like low lighting so i will be adding a dimmer to my leds.
they also prefer more floor space than swim space? is this correct? if so i think i will consider adding some large slate pieces so there more flat surface areas for them to lay on and re arranging my drift wood to create more caves/swim under spots. also thinking about adding some almond tree leaves and i have some drift wood that havent sunk yet im thinking of adding to provide some top surface cover. or maybe some fake plants? anyone know of some hardy floating plants that wont get sucked into the overflow?

what else should i consider? maybe even adjusting water chemistry?

they always like to hide in floating plants. These also diffuse lighting. I just use floating anacharis because its really easy to take care of and you can order it by the pound. You'd have more options depending on your lighting system. (hornwort, frogbite, etc.)

Do you use the black sand from your profile pic in the tank currently?

All I have is slate across the bottom and a piece of driftwood my small ones hide in the wood and my biggies well they like to stare at me lol
