Just wondering what some good target fish would be with a pair of C. compressiceps??

Those are really nice pikes, my favorite small pike for sure. I would use a group of juvenile Geophagus or Satanoperca for them.

Photos???

Did you find someone selling compressiceps? I have been looking all over and can't find any. Everyone says they aren't available.

Don't pick something that will pick fights. Mine were fine with dwarf acaras, but killed a pair of jd's that were twice their size becuase the jd's kept picking fights. The acaras were smarter and left the pikes alone.

Sorry for the delay in posting. Let me try to catch up here.

I don't actually have any yet. My manager at work can get them in no problem so I'm planning my tank out ahead of time. You think Orange Heads would work??

Answered above.

Deeper bodied tetras like serpae, diamond, or blue flame would work also.

Clint ~ He lives in Canada, Oliver and Spencer can get just about anything.

Thanks for the suggestions. So you think lemon tetras would be deep enough?? I don't know who those people are but I'm sure they're really nice. lol jk
fill me in, I'm also considering C.notopthalmus but my manager says theyr'e quite a bit harder for him to get so if Oliver and Spencer can hook me up then I'll definetly like to hear about it.

Thanks for everyones help so far. I've been a fan of pikes for quite a while and can't wait for the opportunity to get a set-up going for them.

Personally I would go for notopthalmus, probably my fav. of the dwarf pikes. Just crazy cool colors, and the dorsal on the male is to die for! LoL!

Lemon tetras might work, actually most tetras would work, just stay away from rummy nose, glo light, neon/cardinal. They would be a quick super probably.

Hatchetfish, headstanders, and swordtails are a couple more options.

I would peter notopthamlus but it would depend on availability.

Swordtails ugh... Lol
Jk
But I'll probably stick with bigger tetras. Would a pair of apistos be alright in the tank too?? I'm planning lots of visual barriers either way?
Thanks for the help

I can't believe I forgot to ask how big the tank is. That right there will determine a whole lot of things.

Also, what is your goal of keeping them. Display, breeding, or just cuz they are awesome?

72 gal, not just cus they're awesome, mostly display but wouldn't mind breeding them eventually.
