I am currently tumbling Frontosa Mpimbwe eggs from wild caughts. The adults are in a tank at 77F (25C).
My tumbler is in a 10 gallon tank also at 77 degrees.

They are developing fine but I had heard that with a slightly higher temperature, fry develop faster with African cichlids. Is there any truth to this? How much higher would one go and is it worth the risk?

Since the average surface temp of Lake Tanganyika is 77, and not known to vary much more th 3'F, in either direction would be a clue to me.
And the fact that fronts are deep water fish, where temps probably don't even change 3'F would be another clue.

I would leave the temperature the same as the breeding tank. If the fish are breeding, it is going to be a good temp for the fry to develop.
